The answer is, of course, Australia. Haley Raso has been called up by the Matildas for the international break. According to social media, she arrived in Sydney in the early hours of this morning, having not been in the match-day squad for yesterday's WSL game against Leicester. Given that flight takes at least 21 hours, it is fair to assume she was in the air whilst her club teammates were playing.
Haley Raso has also removed all references to Tottenham Women from her Instagram bio. It now reads: "Australian Footballer. 2x Olympian. Children’s Author." Furthermore, there are no images relating to Spurs on her Instgram since November 24, 2024.

Haley Raso's Instagram bio does not mention Tottenham Hotspur Women |
There is nothing official coming out of the club. My understanding is that Raso's absence yesterday was down to straightforward selection i.e. Robert Vilahamn didn't pick her. Not surprisingly, the combination of all this has set off rumours that the winger and the manager have fallen out. I have not confirmation of that at this stage and Vilahamn will not hold a press conference until after the international break.
Something has clearly shifted though. Raso was a crucial player who started games when she first arrived at Tottenham from Real Madrid. Given the side's struggle for goals, especially in the absence of Beth England, you would have thought that she would be playing at the moment. Clearly this is one to watch.
