Preview: Tottenham vs Man Utd in the WSL on 2 February, 2025 – team news

After a disappointing FA Cup exit to Everton in midweek, Spurs Women only have 10 games left this season. They begin with the arrival of Man Utd to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, February 2 2025.

Robert Vilahamn is looking forward to the contest. The Spurs manager said, “Playing at that stadium in front of our fans is the best games every year.” He and his players would dearly love to replicate that victory over Arsenal last season and provide fans with another historic afternoon.

That standout result aside, Vilahamn is clear there needs to be better performances in the biggest games. And it's true. With it's the top WSL sides or the FA Cup final, Spurs Women, like their male colleagues, never quite get over the line. With that 4-0 defeat at Wembley final still raw, Vilahamn said his players need “to be very disciplined.”

His ask of them:

Make sure you go for it when you can, and make sure you're disciplined to defend when you need to, and basically put your heart there and do it for the club and try to get the three points.

Spurs Women Consistently Inconsistent

The reality is that Vilahamn’s side has been very inconsistent this season, a lame defeat to Everton after needing a last-gasp winner against Crystal Palace rather typifying how things have gone. The return of Grace Clinton, who shone on loan at Tottenham last season, and Celine Bizet will only add to the complications.

There is still plenty to look forward to in this last batch of games. For instance, Tottenham Hotspur Women can exceed their total points from last season. Spurs vs Man Utd Women is a big game to start the run towards the finish line with though.

Oh, and there’s a North London Derby next time out…
