Jess Naz is back in the England squad [Image credt: FA] |
Jess Naz has been handed a place in the latest Lionesses squad by Sarina Wiegman ahead of the latest round of Nations League fixtures. The Tottenham forward has five senior caps to her name so far.
Naz made her senior England debut against the Republic of Ireland in July 2024. She has not yet scored a senior international goal. The Lionesses face Portugal on Friday, 21 February in the Algarve (kick-off 7.45pm) and then return to Wembley to play World Champions Spain on Wednesday, February 26 (kick-off 7.45pm)
England boss Wiegman said:
"These are two big games to start 2025. It is exciting that we have the chance to write a new chapter in our story in the months ahead, especially with the EURO this summer, but we will focus first on what is right in front of us and a very important Nations League campaign."
No Beth England in Lionesses Squad
Beth England has once again been left out by Wiegman. While the Spurs skipper did make it to the World Cup, she has not really featured on the international stage since. She may consider herself unlucky this time around as she is the joint second highest scorer in the WSL, netting 13 times from seven games.
